Welcome back! I don’t know about you, but as soon as Halloween was over my Santa hat was on and my tree was up! Okay maybe that’s a bit far, but I was in full Christmas spirit to say the very least! Crack open the chestnuts, toss them on the fire, and get the crackers pulled!
As much as I can’t wait for Christmas, this is the time of year where I really begin to split, my excuse for all this? ‘Well, it’s Christmas!’. This may seem fine, but I use this excuse for about four months- not great! So today I bring you some tips for Staying Healthy in the Run Up to Christmas!
Everything in Moderation
Of course it’s fine at this time of year to let yourself lose sometimes, but maybe not all the time! As long as you keep your days as balanced as possible, keeping the calories moderate and regulated will go a long way.
Keep as Active as Possible
If this means that you have to run a few laps of the house and run up and down the stairs when you’re getting the tree out, do it! As it gets colder, I find it a lot harder to get out there and keep active, and I’m sure this is the same for many of you.
Of course, it’s okay to let the routine slip at this time of year, but try and keep as active as possible!
Try not to Stress
It’s just as important to keep yourself mentally well as it is physically, therefore it is crucial to allocate time for you to relax. The Festive Season can be very hectic so it is crucial to keep calm and relaxed- you’ll find this period far more enjoyable if you relieve yourself of pressure.
